Finally, I've been to (and survived!) the Alayan-Lion-Capisaan Cave System in Malabing, Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya, the 5th longest cave system in the country. I joined a "holyweek" friend with her high school buddies last weekend and spent only 1000++ (exclusive of food) for the entire trip.

Traversing the cave was so much fun, though it was a little bit difficult especially when you have to swim through deep waters when you don't know how to swim in the first place! There are a lot of chambers inside the cave that are so different from each other, but all of them are majestic and beautiful. You have to traverse through the whole 4.2 kms. to see everything! But if you're not into caving that much, you can still try their regular caving route which is easier and shorter. The only disappointment to the whole trip though was the trek going to the cave from where the jeepneys will drop you off, which will take you from 1 to 2 hours, depending on how fast you can trek through knee-deep mud! But really, the muddy part is quite okay since that would make the cave inaccessible to a lot of people who doesn't know how to appreciate the beauty of nature! :)

We also went to the 35-foot drop waterfalls in Imugan, Sta. Fe (instead of the Mapallao Falls in Solano, which is often recommended by the guides from Sang-at Salug Outdoor Club). It was located between two mountains and can be reached in about 30-minute hike from Barangay Imugan community proper in Santa Fe town. Although we went there on our own and had no guide to help us out, we never had any difficulty looking for the falls as the locals of Imugan have also cleared a path to and from the waterfalls to make it convenient for visitors.
