I love
Puerto Galera. It's the closest paradise I can get
to from Manila. And it's also my only refuge
during the darkest moments of my (love) life.
I
can't tell much of what happened
in Puerto Galera. The whole trip
simply whizzed by and everything was a
blur. Don't get me wrong, Puerto
Galera is beautiful. I was just in a
state of melancholy then to appreciate
the white sandy beach, the
multi-colored corals, the calm waves
and very supportive friends, making it
all the more depressing. Sigh!
Let's
see... My friends and I boarded a
Tritan Bus in Kamias, Quezon City
bound for Batangas City. 3 hours
later, we arrived at the Batangas City
Port and bought tickets for a fast
craft bound for Puerto Galera. We
stayed at the White Beach Lodge, which
was only P 250 at that time. The
cottage was pretty cheap considering
that it's at the beachfront (August
kasi no'n!).
Our
first day was spent lounging by the
beach side and roaming around White
Beach. Our second day was spent island
hopping. We didn't stayed long at
Puerto Galera, so by late afternoon of
our second day, we were on our way
back to Batangas City... Back to
Manila... Back to reality. |
