I've
been to Pampanga several times, mostly, because of
work. And since it's work, I never had the time to
really roam around and appreciate whatever
Pampanga has to offer. I have always hoped that
there will come a time when I would be given a
chance to see some tourist spots in Pampanga and
eventually climb up Mt. Pinatubo... Some other
time. That would be another story... Another
webpage. For now, let's just stick with why
Pampanga is memorable to me.
Although
we haven't really done any "roaming
around," my family's trip to Fontana Leisure
Park inside the Clark Air Base in Dau, Mabalacat,
Pampanga on January
2002 proved to be a worthwhile experience. It was
a get-together outing between our family and my
brother-in-law's family. Yup, bonding time! But
more than that, it was my son's first ever
out-of-town trip. Yehey!!! A wanderlust in the
making. As excited as I was for his out-of-town
trip, the whole experience also frustrated me. I
didn't know there were a thousand and one things
to bring and keep in mind when bringing children
to a vacation. Whew! Buti na lang, the rest of my
family was around to help me out. I may not have
enjoyed as much, but I was still happy... I can
see that my son was happy with his out-of-town
trip... And that's enough for me.
